TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to the website of Guerrero CPA LLC (“Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website (https://guerrerocpa.com/) and any associated services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use our site.

  1. No Professional-Client Relationship

The information provided on this website is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute professional accounting, tax, or legal advice. Your use of this website, including contacting us via email or contact forms, does not create a CPA-client relationship. A formal relationship is only established once you have signed a specific Engagement Letter and we have accepted the engagement.

  1. Professional Services & Portals
  • Engagement Letters: All professional services (tax preparation, strategy, IRS representation) are governed by a separate Engagement Letter which takes precedence over these website Terms.
  • Secure Portals: We utilize secure platforms (such as Onvio or Canopy) for document exchange. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  1. Client Responsibilities

To provide accurate services, you agree to:

  • Provide complete, accurate, and timely information and documentation.
  • Meet deadlines for data submission (e.g., providing tax documents by our specified internal “cutoff” dates).
  • Review all final returns and documents for accuracy before signing or authorizing electronic filing.

Note: We are not responsible for penalties or interest resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the client.

  1. Fees and Payment
  • Invoicing: Fees for services are outlined in your Engagement Letter.
  • Advance Payment: As per firm policy, invoices (such as those sent via Canopy or Onvio) must typically be paid prior to the “Review and Sign” meeting or the filing of any returns.
  • Late Payments: We reserve the right to suspend work or withhold filing if accounts remain unpaid.
  1. Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including text, graphics, logos, and “Go See Ed” educational materials—is the property of Guerrero CPA LLC and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or “mirror” any part of this site without our express written consent.

  1. Record Retention

In accordance with Texas State Board of Public Accountancy rules:

  • We will return any original documents you provided to us upon completion of the engagement.
  • We maintain copies of work papers for a period of at least five years, after which they may be destroyed according to our firm’s document destruction policy.
  • You are responsible for maintaining your own primary records for tax and business purposes.
  1. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Texas law, Guerrero CPA LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website. Our liability for professional services is limited to the terms set forth in the signed Engagement Letter.

Our site may link to third-party tools (like the IRS website or financial news). We do not control and are not responsible for the content or accuracy of these external sites.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bexar County, San Antonio, Texas.
